OK so I’m starting to run Blood Bowl down at my club, I have 5 or 6 people interested for now, I’m sure that will pick up once it starts. But anyway I need help, I’d like to hit the ground running but I’m not sure were to start other than teaching people and firming up the latest rules. Any help would be greatly appreciated links tips comments and so on.

Thanks in advance

Hello Robbie,

Where is this club? When do you meet? Perhaps we might be able to drop in?

Depending on the standard of coaches, you may want to simply play pick up games for now. If the coaches are reasonably good, you can crack on with a league, if that's the concensus. If there are big differences in the standard of coaching, encourage the good ones to play as stunties - always makes for a fun game!

If they don't have their own boards yet, having a few spares is handy. We're fans of the felt Impact Miniatures pitches here.

Thanks.
It's Creative Destrution in Portadown, we don't have a weekly date yet, its just myself and another guy getting used to the new rules then we will teach a few then i'll take the rains as he is already running necromundia for the club.

And do feel free to drop in, i'll let you know when we get a date set for weekly games.

If you like i can give you some details of my club, although its not all about blood bowl but we do hope to make it an aspect.

I've heard of you - I have a young cousin who goes there to play CCGs. I haven't yet converted him to Bloodbowl, but it's only a matter of time....

I'm sure I could drop by some time to show some young'uns how it's done - I used to be quite active in coaching newbs on FUMBBL (I'm Colin there, coach #7!), which has probably the best Bloodbowl coaches on the planet (though they're by no means all good!).

Perhaps Dzerards might also - not sure what he's up to atm, but he's in Lisburn, so closer than I am to you.

Duce is still busy being married, haven't heard what he's up to...he ran an excellent tournament about 18 months ago, hopefully he'll have a chance to run another in 2012.

Hey, good to see BB alive and well!

Aye, I'm about, been busy having renewed my Xbox Gold account of late to take advantage of BT Infinity! Up to level 85 on GoW3!

But it'd be good to get a few games in. My Goblins' Chain-saw's have been going to rust!

The best bet is a ''Pre-Season'' to allow players to learn their teams, then strt into a simple season of say 2 months with everyone playing each other once. award winner and then take anothe rpreseason for a few months to allow them to get more practise in (You can continue to allow them developing teams). Maybe in the first offseason let them develop teams but then come season 1 make all teams start fresh, so they have some experience but also all start on the same level for the proper games.
